Emergency First Aid at Work + Forestry First aid

Who is this for?

We've put this training together so you get both the Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work and the Level 3 Award in Forestry First Aid.

What will be covered?

The learner will gain the knowledge and practical competence required to deal with a wide range of workplace first aid situations.

For the Emergency First Aid at Work part:

  • Responsibilities and reporting
  • Resuscitation
  • Assessment of the situation
  • Anatomy
  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
  • Minor injuries
  • Basic hygiene in first aid
  • Bleeding control
  • Catastrophic bleed control (Pressure Bandages, Homeostatic dressings, Tourniquets use)
  • Burns
  • Choking
  • Epilepsy
  • Shock

For the Forestry First Aid part:

  • Catastrophic bleeding control
  • Crush injuries
  • Effects of extreme cold
  • Lyme disease
  • Emergency planning and remote medical assistance
  • Instructor assessment
