First Aid at Work

Who is this for?

It is a requirement of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 that employers provide a safe and healthy environment to work in. If your assessment of first aid needs highlights the need for qualified first aiders, then this level 3 qualification will provide you with suitable, highly trained personnel.

What will be covered?

This qualification is designed to provide a learner with the knowledge and practical competence required to deal with a wide range of first aid situations in the workplace.

A range of subjects are covered, including:

• Role and Responsibilities of a First Aider
• Assess an emergency situation safely
• Conducting a scene survey
• Primary & Secondary survey
• Unresponsive casualty
• CPR
• Recovery position
• Safe use of an Automated Defibrillator
• Monitoring
• Seizures
• Choking
• Bleeding
• Life-threatening bleeds (Pressure bandages, homeostatic dressings, tourniquet)
• Shock
• Minor injuries
• Burns
• Fracture and dislocation
• Sprains and Strains
• Use of a support and elevated sling
• Head and Spinal injuries
• Chest injuries
• Fractured ribs
• Penetrating chest injury
• Eye injury
• Poisoning
• Anaphylaxis and use of auto-injector
• Heart attack
• Stroke
• Asthma attack
• Diabetic hypoglycaemic emergency

How will Inspire First Training deliver the course?

We can provide your facilitated session on-site at your premises, or alternatively at our preferred venue. We offer flexible start times for all of our courses, including evenings, early mornings, and weekends.
