On Friday 7th November (9am to 4:30pm) and every first friday of the month, we'll be at Somerford Keynes Village Hall where not only can you attain this qualification, but we will also be covering heart attacks, strokes, and anapylaxis.

Who is this for?
Where a first aid needs assessment identifies the necessity for an emergency first aider in the workplace, this 6-hour qualification meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.
The qualification is also suitable for people with responsibility for the provision of first aid in other settings such as voluntary and community groups.
What will be covered?
The learner will gain the knowledge and practical competence required to deal with a wide range of workplace first aid situations.
- Responsibilities and reporting
- Resuscitation
- Assessment of the situation
- Anatomy
- Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
- Minor injuries
- Basic hygiene in first aid
- Bleeding control
- Burns
- Choking
- Epilepsy
- Shock
Optionally, we can also cover:
- Heart attacks
- Stokes
- Anapylaxis
If you require these extra topics, let us know. These optional topics will add 1 hour to the duration of the training.
